Fresh Fall weather is the perfect time for a warm cup of comforting coffee. La Colombe coffee in Chicago s a cute little cafe that serves house-brand artisanal coffee, delicious pastries & snacks. The space is sleek and industrial and the staff is friendly. It's also conveniently a few doors down from Stan's Donuts so you can get your specialty coffee and then walk a few feet to get your specialty donut! Can't beat that!

Speaking of Stan's Donuts, they are next on our list. Stan's is an uber famous over 50 year old donut shop from LA that has made its way to Chicago and has won our Midwest hearts. Stan's has donuts, coffee and gelato. We recommend trying the peanut butter pockets or anything pumpkin since, it is pumpkin weather!

3.) Glazed & Confused

Boy were we ever excited when Glazed & Infused hit the Chicago scene. They focus on artisan technique, local sourcing, and quality flavors and it shows in their amazing donut flavors. We like that all of their doughnuts are made fresh daily by hand, using natural ingredients. Whenever possible, they source ingredients locally, they rotate flavors seasonally and have imaginative holiday and specialty doughnuts! We recommend any of their chocolate options or their red velvet!

4.) Sprinkles ATM

Just walk a few doors down and you will find a giant Sprinkles ATM that is available 24/7 for your sweet tooth craving convenience. Whether it's 2PM or 2AM you can purchase your cupcake and really, isn't that what city life is all about?

5.) Chicago Skydeck

Because there's nothing like standing 1,353 feet in the air in a glass box that extends out 4.3 feet from the rest of the building. If you have the courage to step out on the ledge, the skydeck makes for great Instagram pictures, great stories to share with family/friends and most importantly, it's inside so you are warm and don't have to worry about the cold Chicago winds.
